Behind Jane Austen’s eyes

Joshua Reynolds was such a successful English portrait painter that King George III made him knight.

Jane Austen having just finished writing Pride and Prejudice decided to visit a retrospective (the first ever)of the works of Sir Reynolds, which was the talk of the town at that moment. Between the paintings were also some of her heroes from Pride and Prejudice.
